Carol Burnett, who turned 90 on April 26, 2024, was honored with a special two-hour NBC program,

Leading up to the celebration,Burnett gave numerous interviews, including an emotional one with *PEOPLE* whereshe reflected on her late daughter, Carrie Hamilton. Carrie, an actress and singer,passed away from cancer in 2002 at age 38. Burnett carries her memory daily, recalling the advice Carrie shared: “Every day I wake up and decide.”
